3 Scheme Objective Promotion of solar irrigation for agricultural resilience and adaptation to climate change increasing water and crop productivity.

Eligibility Criteria:

Farmers owning a minimum of 25 acres are eligible to participate in the program, with the government subsidizing 67% of the total cost and farmers responsible for the remaining 33%

This program is part of the larger Transforming Punjab Agriculture initiative which aims to shift 2 lakh electric tube wells to solar power With a budget of Rs 64 billion, this is the largest agricultural support package in Pakistan's history .

1 Land Ownership Applicant must be the owner of agricultural land within the revenue boundary of the district where the application is submitted.

Fard e Malakiat Property Ownership Document

2 Tube well Requirements

Owns an electric tube well with power requirement up to 15 KW.

Last paid electricity bill of tube well connection non proof of ownership

Non payers/defaulters will not be considered.

Tube well electricity connection installed on or before March 31 2024

3 Technical Requirements

Watertable depth up to 60 feet.

3 phase electrical connection.
